The Urban Storyteller… I was looking for an example of an african american storyteller, when I remembered this commercial. I love the big red book. It’s great, with the huge bookmark dangling out of it. Spike doesn’t try to read like traditional voice actors… he just does his thing. This really helped me get another idea about how the narrator should sound. I think I need to go for Common & Mos Def, rather than Stephen Fry… or Lauryn Hill & Erykah Badu, rather than Jim Dale.
