Since discussing my project with Eitan Mendelowitz last Friday, I’ve been thoroughly thinking about the relationships between reading a story/ watching a story/ and listening to a story.  To have all 3 in my book, seems somewhat pointless, as the experience may simply be like watching a “movie with subtitles”.  However, depending on the story itself, I feel that there is a way in which all 3 can work together.  I’ve been watching specific movies that use narrators like “The Fall” and “Stranger than Fiction”.  The thing i noticed is that the narrator comes in and out of the story, while the video tends to put more emphasis on displaying the details that the story leaves out.

For some reason or another, I would love to keep the narrator-aspect of the book.  I love to be read to, and I think most kids do as well. The original idea was that the narration could be turned on or off, however it could make the words on the page pointless.
